Within the UK, Graeme Biggar, head of the Nationwide Crime Company, stated in December that he wished to see harder sentences for offenders who possess baby abuse imagery, including that AI abuse imagery “issues, as a result of we assess that the viewing of those photographs – whether or not actual or AI-generated – materially will increase the danger of offenders transferring on to sexually abusing kids themselves”.
